Rabee Securities (RS) was founded on January 7th 1995, and is headquartered in Baghdad with offices in Erbil, Suleymani and a representative office in Istanbul. The Company was established to promote investment opportunities in Iraq and specializes in the sale and purchase of securities (stocks and bonds). It is licensed and regulated as a Securities Brokerage Company by the Iraqi Securities Commission (ISC). Since the beginning, the company has continuously expanded the range of its investment activities to encompass a broad spectrum of financial services.
The company is one of the premier brokerage houses catering to institutional investors from the U.S., through a partnership with Auerbach Grayson of New York, and from Western Europe. RS is the only brokerage house publishing company and bank reports for the listed companies on the Iraq Stock Exchange. In addition, it is publishing daily, weekly and monthly ISX reports in its website and sending them directly to its investors and potential investors. Moreover, the company, by being the only brokerage house in Iraq that has a Bloomberg page, is publishing its research reports in its Bloomberg page with the aim to increase the interest for the ISX listed companies. Separately, RS has a market value-weighted index index, RSISX Index which is updated in quarterly basis and this index is used by most of the foreign investors as a benchmark.
Although capital market activities in Iraq are still at an embryonic stage, the company believes that the market will witness tremendous growth in the next few years and it is prepared to grow with it, offering its customers all the assistance they require to navigate the country.
